This workshop theme is partner development-how to be a better partner/increasing your confidence engaging with other humans in movement/dance settings. We’ll deepen our skillsets in nonverbal communication, attunement/listening, creative collaboration, finding the right dosage of challenge for each other in a variety of scenarios.

Perhaps two things we’d all benefit from are more positive social interactions and more quality movement, so let’s put the two together. We will look at a variety of different ways we can use partner engagement to enjoyably develop various movement skills and qualities. Some areas we may explore include containers to develop movement intelligence and complexity, comfort with partnering, coordination, strength/mobility games, and cultivating creative movement expression.

Recommended to bring a notebook, long pants/sleeves, water bottle.

This is my ongoing best attempt to provide a trauma-aware container. You will not be forced to do anything, you can opt out or get a modification at any point. This workshop will have physical contact with other humans with proper consent. Please reach out with any questions or concerns.
